Reese & Celery

I was cutting celery and of course Reese needed to test it. He didn't really want to eat it (never thought I would say that). So, he decided to play with his food. Here is Reese playing with celery.

Happy Birthday Reese (1 year)!

Welsh pups are 4 weeks

The puppies are growing up quick. They are now four weeks old and very cute. I took Olivia with me today to visit the puppies and she had a good time with them. The puppies played and nibbled on Olivia's shirt, toes and shoes. The whole gang.

One of these three boys that Olivia is holding will come home with me.
Which one?

Play time!

Happy Days!

Here are a few pictures of the dogs. Todd and I are watching Lacy for a week and she is already making new friends. Lacy and Maddie (Olivia's dog) ran circles chasing each other this morning. I think Maddie likes that Lacy wants to and can keep up with her. Oh, Lacy is no longer a white dog she is a mix of brown and white.

Lasik

I had lasik done yesterday and survived. I was very nervous about having to stay awake during the procedure. Something about a laser in you eye is a little unnerving. Let me just say that Valium is great. I feel asleep before they called me into the room to have my eyes done. They tell you that you will hear and smell things during the surgery but I don't remember anything but looking at the light and thinking to myself don't fall asleep. So, now I have 20/15 vision.

More vacation pictures

We decided to walk/hike the rim of the Grand Canyon. We started at the Village and ended at Hermits rest. It was a total of nine miles. Grand Canyon (West rim)

Hiking in the Grand Canyon

Todd and I were worn out and sunburned after hiking in the Grand Canyon. It was a lot of fun and the canyon was beautiful. We had planned on camping and decided at the last minute to stay in a hotel. We thought it would be better to not wake up in the morning as a popsicles (38 degrees at night). I wanted to point out the squirrel picture below. I foolishly thought it would be fun to try and feed one (not suppose too). I plead temporary insanity. The picture is very nice, but you don't see that after he eats his treat he tries to eat me. Thankfully he didn't hurt me or break the skin. A lady came up to me (who works for the park) and kindly told me that more people end up in their first aid from squirrel bites (oops). No more wild animal feeding for me. Todd and Heidi
Don't try this at home!

Todd and Heidi two hours into the canyon.

From the canyon rim you can see the trail we hiked.

We hiked along the ridge in this photo.

The fourth dog!

Yes, Todd and I are getting a fourth dog. We are getting a Welsh Sheepdog. I went to see the puppies this morning and they are so cute. The puppies are now a week old and there are four boys and two girls in the group. We plan to get a boy and will pick which one sometime in June. Reese is going to be happy to have someone to play with. Seida and Chloe think they are too good to play with little Reese man. Any name ideas?
