Where does the time go?

Things have been none stop lately around our house. I had to say no to activities going on today just to be home. Poor Ellie has been dragged all over. Doctor appointments, taking Reese to the vet, stores, gym, and an agility trial. I have to say Ellie is such a good baby and I am very blessed!
What's new? Well, I have been trying to lose the baby weight after having Ellie. I have about 4 pounds to go! While I am trying to lose weight Ellie is quickly gaining. Last week she was at 12lbs. 7 oz. I can't believe how fast they grow. Todd is also doing well and working hard to take care of our family.

Bounce back after baby

My good friend Elizabeth Mullins has been working with me to lose the baby weight. Elizabeth has been giving workout tips and healthy meals on News 9 Thursdays during the 4:00 hour. I along with two other Moms have been working on shedding that extra weight after having our little angles. Today was our one month weigh in. I am proud to say in the past month I have lost 5 lbs. and a total of 8 1/4 inches off my body. I have a little more work to do and am excited with how far I have come. Thank you Elizabeth for the help and encouragement. Check out tomorrows show to see us working hard!

The Crib

Todd & I are very blessed to have a friend buy us a crib for Ellie. Now we have a mattress that Grandma & Grandpa Cleveland bought so Ellie can use her crib. We took a few pictures of Ellie trying out her new bed. :)

All about Ellie

Ellie had her two month doctor visit today. She weighed in at 10lbs. 4oz. The doctor told me Ellie has a lot of personality for a two month old and she looks forward to watching her grow. Ellie showed off how well she can hold her head up and that she is an expert finger sucker. :) Ellie got over the mean shots quickly and Mommy didn't cry.

Weaving Wicket

I finally got around to working with Wicket on his weave poles. Wicket now weaves six poles and we are ready to start working on twelve. Yeah Wicket!

I love the box...

Ellie loves to play in her box. This is a fun, colorful box with walls to keep Ellie from rolling out and has lots of dangling toys. She laid in it just kicking away this morning.

Ellie went to the doctor today. She is at 8lbs. 10oz. now. Wow! Ellie is growing so fast. Everything is healthy and good with our little girl. God is good!

3 weeks old

Life with Ellie

Todd and I have been adjusting to the arrival of our baby girl Ellie. We are getting the hang of diaper changes, feedings, naps and the enjoyment of Ellie's company. I think the hardest thing we have had to deal with is getting other things done around the house. The days seem to go by super fast.

The dogs are doing good with Ellie around. Reese took some warming up to her because he was scared but now he will come over sniff and watch Ellie. Wicket adores Ellie and will run through the house looking for her. Seida & Chloe seem content to go on with life as usual. Ellie sleeps through their barking and the dogs sleep through Ellie's crying.

Baby's Corner

For those that have never been out to our house we live in a one bedroom 1,000 sq ft cozy place. I don't have a nursery for our little girl but I did clear out a corner in our bedroom. This should work nicely for a while.

Eventually we will put a crib in the corner. For now we have baby girl's little bed next to ours waiting for her arrival. Maybe we can get through a few of the diapers stacked behind the recliner before we put a crib in. Todd hung the little pictures I found yesterday (love them). I would like to do a little more decorating when we figure out a name for baby girl. We are so excited!

Baby shower #2

Thank you to our church family for showering our baby girl today with beautiful gifts. There was wonderful food and games and lots of visiting.

The cake was awesome! The kids were obsessed with finding out what was in the belly of the cake. No baby in there, just more cake.

This weekend Olivia and her horse Wildfire competed in their very first Rodeo. They did a great job and I look forward to watching them grow as a team.

Todd spent hours this weekend working on robbing honey from his beehive. The honey is a beautiful light color this year and taste wonderful!
